How do you like the summer weather here in Southwest Florida? People either love it or hate it! Whether you like or dislike the rain, these storms provide beautiful pictures! Plus once the rain clears up, which it often does only hours after the downfall, the plants are greener and the scenery is even prettier. Update on the Deep Horizon Florida Oil Spill. What is happening to Fort Myers because of the BP Oil Spill? Our Beaches are still Beautiful and our water is Clean! Great time for a Vacation!

Yesterday, we talked to Lee County Florida District 4 Commissioner, Tammy Hall. We were extremely happy to hear what she had to say! Although the Deep Horizon Florida Oil Spill has harmed a lot of things, Sanibel and Captiva are still SAFE! We learned that our water is clean and our beaches are still beautiful and this is actually a great time to visit Fort Myers. Check out our backyard and enjoy a wonderful SWFL Vacation!

Tamara Pigott, Executive Director of the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau also talked to us on camera to express what a great time it is to take a vacation in our unspoiled waters of SWFL. Not only are the beaches in Fort Myers OIL FREE, there are lots of other great reasons to visit! There are great deals on accommodations, shopping, restaurants and services. I just received a phone call from my friends that they received a gift package I ordered for them just the other day. I sent them Honey Tangerines, from Sun Harvest Citrus and they loved them! My friends live in New York and the weather is still pretty cold, so I thought it would be a fun surprise to send them some fresh Florida Honey Tangerines (these Tangerines are soooo good and are only in season for Feb. and Mar.). I recommend these citrus fruits to any who is looking for a great gift idea!

The Ft. Myers weather is gorgeous this time of year. The Fort Myers beach, is absolutely perfect right now in the middle of Fall.
