Edison Light Festival, BED RACE, Downtown Fort Myers

If you were downtown Fort Myers yesterday, you might have noticed the Bed Race! It would be hard not to see it! The Edison Light Festival included a junior run for the kids and a junior parade. Superbowl Sunday, Shoeless Joe’s, Fort Myers Sports & Restaurant

If you were at Shoeless Joe’s, Fort Myers Sports Restaurant & Bar, you didn’t miss a thing! There are big screen TVs in every foot of the place, you couldn’t turn around without seeing every play! People enjoyed thier wings and drinks as the Saints beat the Colts as the underdogs. Shoeless Joe’s, attached to Crowne Plaza, located in the Bell Tower Shops, was the place to watch Sundays big game. Great food, drinks and sports, Shoeless Joe’s! If you went to the FISH 10k run on Sanibel, you probably saw the eXfuze booth. The eXfuze booth was giving out free samples of their product, which have seven of the worlds super fruits in it. The juice is super healthy and was one of the most popular tables at the 10k. Downtown Fort Myers Bike Ride. If you were driving around Fort Myers last night, you may have noticed a huge group of cyclists riding from Page Field to Downtown Fort Myers. It is good to see that bike riding is becoming ever so popular. Trying to ride at 30 mph to take a picture is a difficult task, especially when we are not in as good shape. So, we had one of the riders stop, so we could take the photo!

Yesterday we had the pleasure to take photos of the 20th anniversary Caloosa Catch & Release Fort Myers Fishing Tournament. It has been a great week for us, at the FortMyersDaily, covering fishing tournaments from the McFlats’ Invitational for the Ronald McDonald House to the Famous Caloosa Catch & Release. Fishing season is always wonderful here in Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. We took photos of some of the winners at this Fishing Tournament in Fort Myers and the people at the award banquet. 2009 McFlats’ Fishing Tournament

2009 Fort Myers Fishing Tournament, McFlats’ Invitational. This weekend was the 5^th annual McFlats’ fishing Invitational, held at Tarpon Point, Cape Coral. The Fort Myers fishing tournament was a huge success, the sponsors and teams did a fabulous job making this a weekend to remember. We at the FortMyerDaily.com had an all access media boat provided by “Venture Out” and Tim Willison of Northwestern Mutual. We were taking fishing photos and videos from 5:30am till 10:30pm. So be sure to click below to see over 100 pictures of the 2009 McFlats’ Invitational fishing tournament. We took tons of shots of Fort Myers Fishing Captains from all around the area.

Thank you everyone who attended and helped out with McFlats’ Fishing Tournament. It is all for a great cause, The Ronald McDonald House. Fort Myers Derby Girls This Saturday. Hey everyone, come check out the Fort Myers Derby Girls This Saturday at the Great White Grill in Sanibel. The Great White Grill will be there serving cold beer and food. There will be raffles and entertainment, all proceeds go to the Fort Myers Derby Girls so they can keep doing their thing!

Islands Night, Miracle Fort Myers Baseball Game. Yesterday, the FortMyersdaily.com went to the Lee Sports Complex for the Islands Night, Miracle Fort Myers Baseball Game. The Islands Night, Miracle Fort Myers Baseball Game was great, although the weather was less than ideal, everyone still had a good time. The Islands Night, Miracle Fort Myers Baseball Game started off with a parade of Sanibel and Captiva businesses, clubs and organizations ( all of the parade is in the photo gallery). Then after a rain delay the Islands Night, Miracle Fort Myers Baseball Game got started. Bailey’s General Store did a great job with the event.
