Just the other day, one of our guys was out at the delicious, Uptown Larry’s taking photos. Update on the Deep Horizon Florida Oil Spill. What is happening to Fort Myers because of the BP Oil Spill? Our Beaches are still Beautiful and our water is Clean! Great time for a Vacation!

Yesterday, we talked to Lee County Florida District 4 Commissioner, Tammy Hall. We were extremely happy to hear what she had to say! Although the Deep Horizon Florida Oil Spill has harmed a lot of things, Sanibel and Captiva are still SAFE! We learned that our water is clean and our beaches are still beautiful and this is actually a great time to visit Fort Myers. Check out our backyard and enjoy a wonderful SWFL Vacation!

Tamara Pigott, Executive Director of the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau also talked to us on camera to express what a great time it is to take a vacation in our unspoiled waters of SWFL. Fort Myers Restaurants, Biddle’s Piano Bar & Restaurant

It was the opening night of Fort Myers Biddle’s Piano Bar & Restaurant. We have all been waiting for the opening night and it finally has arrived! Biddle’s is located in the old Bennigan’s building off of 41. Andy and Brenda Biddle have done an amazing job making the building look absolutely wonderful! With live music and great food, Biddle’s Restaurant is one of the finest in all of Southwest Florida! Entertainment for the evening was played from Soli & Andre. Chef Bruno Ferreyra, a long time employee and friend of 12 years, and Sous Chef, Joshua Spicer created mouth watering dishes and will continue for Lunch, dinner, and Sunday Brunch. FL Tarpon Division – Summer Season Registration Is Open

The summer season will start May 20th.

Fl Tarpon Kickball Summer League Registration is now OPEN! Register at the Fl Tarpon site http://www.kickball.com/fltarpon

Deadline to register is April 27th 2010! $10 fee will be added if you register after that date.

Season starts May 20th 2010 and we are back at the Wa-Ke-Hatchee Park. Our new division bar will be Stevie Tomato’s! Pre-Season Party will be Saturday, May 15th at 8pm at Stevie’s!

The other day while working in Fort Myers, we stopped by one of our favorite restaurants, Sakura Chinatown. Not only do they have great sushi but Lina, the owner treats us like gold! Some of the freshest fish and greatest sushi chef in-town, make Sakura Chinatown one of the best places to eat!

Many of you know that Biddle’s Restaurant and Piano Bar in Fort Myers has moved out of their old location and into a new spot. Some of you don’t know where that is yet, its located at the old Bennigans off of 41. The renovations are happening as we speak. It takes a little time to make the great changes at this Resteraunt, so check back often for the opening date coming soon. Richmond Heights Chapter Red Hat Society, Southwest Florida, Fort Myers

The Miami-Dade Richmond Heights Chapter Red Hat Society, Sophisticated Sables visited Fort Myers/Lehigh Acres as the guest of Rev. Benjamin  & Minnie Hooks on February 13-14, 2010. Minnie Hooks is a member of the chapter. The eighteen women came with the idea of having fun and enjoying Southwest Florida outstanding hospitality. They had lunch, a fish fry and games at the Hooks’ home in Lehigh Acres.The Red Hatters shopped at Coconut Point Mall, visited Miromar Outlet, attended church at St. John First Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed lunch on Valentine’s at The Elephant Bar at The Edison Mall. These Red Hatters are very serious about their group objectives to enjoy each other socially, and to live life to it’s fullest together spiritually.

People enjoyed thier wings and drinks as the Saints beat the Colts as the underdogs. The First Annual Chix-N-Stix Ladies Fishing Tournament, Fort Myers Fishing

Last night was a BLAST! The first annual Chix-N-Stix Fishing Tournament held their Anglers meeting at Fish-Tale Marina, who did an AMAZING job, especially given the weather! Kristi Riley and Lacey Rush did a FANTASITIC job putting this huge event together! There was a live and silent auction to benefit Operation Open Arms (supporting our troops www.operationopenarms.net) items included, vacation packages, fishing charters, jewelry, art, fishing equipment, baskets and more! Thank you to Bahama Breeze for the great food and an open bar! Below is just a taste of what it was like there last night, a video and more photos to come on Monday! Everyone get ready for today! The First Annual Chix-N-Stix Ladies Fishing Tournament Presented by Bahama Breeze, Fort Myers Fishing

Last night was the Chix-N-Stix Ladies Fishing Tournament event, held at Bahama Breeze! The event was a huge success and the turn out was wonderful. The Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant in Fort Myers was rockin’ last night! The Staff was extremely friendly, the food was amazing and the bar was packed! Joe McCormic & Marvilla Marzan of Freestyle, helped make the night incredible with their music, once people started dancing, it became contagious and everyone seemed to get up and join in! The Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant was definitely the place to be on Saturday night in Fort Myers! Fort Myers Inaugural Boo Bash, The Crowne Plaza Hotel & Shoeless Joe’s. The Crowne Plaza hotel hosted a ghoulishly good time on Saturday, October 31st with their inaugural Boo Bash by the Bell Tower Shops. A 21 and up party, the event included live performances, video and live DJ, costume contests and cash prizes. The party took place in the Ballroom of the Crowne Plaza Hotel, which was transformed into a spooktacular Halloween setting. The Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant, Fort Myers Restaurant

Last night, The Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant hosted a “Make-A-Wish Foundation” event. The place was packed and full of good vibes! There was live music, great food and an silent auction with lots of goodies, all going to the “Make-A-Wish Foundation”. The evening was part of a daylong event, where sponsors and captains took children and their families on awesome power boats. Stan and Haney from 96k rock were there as well supporting this great cause!
