Richmond Heights Chapter Red Hat Society, Southwest Florida, Fort Myers

The Miami-Dade Richmond Heights Chapter Red Hat Society, Sophisticated Sables visited Fort Myers/Lehigh Acres as the guest of Rev. Benjamin  & Minnie Hooks on February 13-14, 2010. Minnie Hooks is a member of the chapter. The eighteen women came with the idea of having fun and enjoying Southwest Florida outstanding hospitality. They had lunch, a fish fry and games at the Hooks’ home in Lehigh Acres.The Red Hatters shopped at Coconut Point Mall, visited Miromar Outlet, attended church at St. John First Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed lunch on Valentine’s at The Elephant Bar at The Edison Mall. These Red Hatters are very serious about their group objectives to enjoy each other socially, and to live life to it’s fullest together spiritually.

If you were at Shoeless Joe’s, Fort Myers Sports Restaurant & Bar, you didn’t miss a thing! There are big screen TVs in every foot of the place, you couldn’t turn around without seeing every play! People enjoyed thier wings and drinks as the Saints beat the Colts as the underdogs. The First Annual Chix-N-Stix Ladies Fishing Tournament, Fort Myers Fishing

Last night was a BLAST! The first annual Chix-N-Stix Fishing Tournament held their Anglers meeting at Fish-Tale Marina, who did an AMAZING job, especially given the weather! Kristi Riley and Lacey Rush did a FANTASITIC job putting this huge event together! There was a live and silent auction to benefit Operation Open Arms (supporting our troops www.operationopenarms.net) items included, vacation packages, fishing charters, jewelry, art, fishing equipment, baskets and more! Thank you to Bahama Breeze for the great food and an open bar! Below is just a taste of what it was like there last night, a video and more photos to come on Monday! Everyone get ready for today! The Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant in Fort Myers was rockin’ last night! The Staff was extremely friendly, the food was amazing and the bar was packed! Joe McCormic & Marvilla Marzan of Freestyle, helped make the night incredible with their music, once people started dancing, it became contagious and everyone seemed to get up and join in! Fort Myers Inaugural Boo Bash, The Crowne Plaza Hotel & Shoeless Joe’s. The Crowne Plaza hotel hosted a ghoulishly good time on Saturday, October 31st with their inaugural Boo Bash by the Bell Tower Shops. A 21 and up party, the event included live performances, video and live DJ, costume contests and cash prizes. The party took place in the Ballroom of the Crowne Plaza Hotel, which was transformed into a spooktacular Halloween setting. Last night, The Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant hosted a “Make-A-Wish Foundation” event. The place was packed and full of good vibes! There was live music, great food and an silent auction with lots of goodies, all going to the “Make-A-Wish Foundation”. The evening was part of a daylong event, where sponsors and captains took children and their families on awesome power boats. Stan and Haney from 96k rock were there as well supporting this great cause! Florida Cracker’s Summer Bash at the Cracker Box Restaurant

Yesterday, we went to the Fort Myers Cracker Box Restaurant fundraiser for Brook Jones, a young lady who was diagnosed with T-Cell Leukemia nearly ten years ago. Brook has been off of chemo for 7 ½ years but there are still many tests to be run and the medical bills are extremely expensive. So the Fort Myers Cracker Box Restaurant held the “Florida Cracker’s Summer Bash” yesterday to help raise money for all the medical bills. On May 15, 2009 The Edison Restaurant and bar held a Ribbon Cutting in conjunction with the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce.  Fort Myers Photographer John Michael’s Photography was on hand to photograph the Ribbon Cutting.  The Edison Restaurant and Bar is located on McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers on the Fort Myers Public Golf Course.
