If you are like we are, you like great Fishing in Florida. Well, call up the boys from Venture Out in Cape Coral. We went out with another group of fishing for some Fishing and it was a great time! We caught some small fish and a couple of SHARKS! It was more than a great time! The Venture Out group are great captains and we had fun time on the Clean waters of Southwest Fl. Fort Myers Camping Fishing, Koreshan Park

Throughout its history, Florida has welcomed pioneers of all kinds. Cyrus Reed Teed was probably the most unusual, bringing followers to Estero in 1894 to build New Jerusalem for his new faith, Koreshanity. The colony, known as the Koreshan Unity, believed that the entire universe existed within a giant, hollow sphere. The colony began fading after Teed´s death in 1908, and in 1961 the last four members deeded the land to the state. Today, visitors can fish, picnic, boat, and hike where Teed´s visionaries once carried out survey experiments to prove the horizon on the beaches of Collier County curves upward. A boat ramp and canoe rentals are available. Visitors can take self-guided tours of the settlement or a ranger-guided tour. For overnight stays, the park has a full-facility campground. Campers can enjoy campfire programs every Saturday night from January through March. Located on U.S. 41 at Corkscrew Road.

Fort Myers Fishing, 6th Annual McFlat’s Redfish Challenge

The 6th Annual McFlat’s Redfish Challenge was yesterday, we were out there taking great pictures of all the kids injoying some Fort Myers Fishing. More pictures to come very shortly!

Wanna compete in one of the best Fishing Tournaments? McFlat’s Invitational is this Weekend!

Boats in the water at 7:30 for a shotgun start. Also, while the anglers are in the water feel free to invite the rest of your family & friends to come on over for the Ronald McDonald kids Fishing tournament and Ronald McDonald luncheon from 10:00am-12:00pm at Tarpon Point Marina. Kids will have the opportunity to have lunch with Ronald McDonald as well as the opportunity to win great prizes; surely a must do event for all the Florida kids who love to fish or would love to learn how.

The weigh-in will close at 4:00pm giving everyone the opportunity to take some time to get their boats cleaned up and meet back at the Hope Ball Room in the marina area of Tarpon Point Marina.

The awards dinner & auction will begin at 6:30. This isn’t your average awards banquet either; it will include an upscale dinner, open bar and music. So we are pleased to invite you to this 6th annual event that will prove to be an event you will be sure to schedule into your calendar for years to come.

Lee County BP Oil Spill

Lee County is known for great beaches, shopping, shelling, vacationing and wildlife.

We’ve had several inquiries regarding the BP Oil Spill and if it is affecting our beautiful Islands.

The photographer/videographer that I am Max Soto, decided to go around yesterday by myself to ask some island locals their thoughts and observations on the issue. I was pleased to hear what they said and what I personally saw. The fish are still biting, the beaches are pristine and beach goers are out! The only oil I saw was people applying tropical sun tanning oil while catching some sun. Watch the video for yourself.

After hearing how Sandy relaxes at the beach. I HAD to put my gear away and spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying the white sands and blue waters for myself.

It is one of the best time of the year, Tarpon Season. If you are into fishing you probably already know, Tarpon are in season! These amazing fish are one of the best sport fish you can catch. But, before you even cast your line in the water, make sure you have a valid fishing license. Once you do, you need to catch your game and then send us a picture so we can share it with everyone else. We will help you show everyone how big it really was, no fish stories!

The only thing he could get, was an already dead fish head he found on the beach of Fort Myers. So check out his fish head photos from his Fort Myers Fishing trip. Day two of The First Annual Chix-N-Stix Ladies Fishing Tournament, Fort Myers Fishing

Yesterday was, day two of the First Annual Chix-N-Stix Fishing Tournament! Teams started fishing at 7:00am and continued all the way to about 3:00pm! There was a little rain in the beginning of the day but that didn’t stop the ladies from catching all of the Lady fish they could! After the last bucket was brought in to weight, everyone enjoyed great food and drinks by Bahama Breeze while at Fish-Tale Marina. Once all of the teams got some food, Kristi Riley and Lacey Rush announced the all of the winners! The whole event was AMAZING and a TON of fun! Everyone did a great job putting this weekend together and helped support our troops through Operation Open Arms. Please click below to see just some of the photos from yesterday! The First Annual Chix-N-Stix Ladies Fishing Tournament, Fort Myers Fishing

Last night was a BLAST! The first annual Chix-N-Stix Fishing Tournament held their Anglers meeting at Fish-Tale Marina, who did an AMAZING job, especially given the weather! Kristi Riley and Lacey Rush did a FANTASITIC job putting this huge event together! There was a live and silent auction to benefit Operation Open Arms (supporting our troops www.operationopenarms.net) items included, vacation packages, fishing charters, jewelry, art, fishing equipment, baskets and more! Thank you to Bahama Breeze for the great food and an open bar! Below is just a taste of what it was like there last night, a video and more photos to come on Monday! Everyone get ready for today! Fort Myers, The First Annual Chix-N-Stix Ladies Fishing Tournament

The first event of this caliber for ladies in the fishing industry! Chix-N-Stix is taking over Southwest Florida on December 4th and 5th, 2009 on Fort Myers Beach, FL. With the cash and prize payout reaching over $5,000 and an entry fee of $100 for the ladies and $50 for the men there is no excuse not to come out and be a part of this huge event! The species of fish (ladyfish) has been kept fun to keep the pressure low; and there will be a couple of mystery fish categories, a youth division and a winner for the largest ladyfish.
