Indian Creek Pet Hospital, Vet for Fort Myers and Sanibel & Captiva

Dear Pet Owner:

Pets, like people, need regular dental care. Advancements in veterinary medicine have shown that animals who do not receive dental care are at risk for gingivitis, periodontal disease, and subsequent kidney, liver and heart problems.

85% of adult pets have periodontal disease. Many times, the first sign an owner notices is bad breath in their pet. Unfortunately, by this time, periodontitis may already be in its 3rd or 4th stage! What often goes unnoticed is the preceding inflamed gums, plaque and tarter buildup and the accompanying pain which can cause changes in eating habits, behavior and a decline in overall health.

We encourage all pet owners to brush their pet’s teeth and use dental products such as Aquadent, CET chews and Hills Prescription Diet T/D. Having your pet’s teeth professionally cleaned once or twice yearly is also highly recommended.

We at Indian Creek Pet Hospital are committed to helping you provide your pet with a long, healthy life. In support of this mission, we are offering our dental services at a 15% discount beginning October 11th thru November 30th.  This includes pre-anesthetic bloodwork, ultrasonic dental work (cleaning and polishing), fluoride treatment, dental x-rays, Oravet protective gel, plus extractions and treatment of gingivitis, as determined necessary by Dr. Davis. Although a rough estimate of the degree of dental disease can be made while the patient is awake, the full extent can only be assessed while the patient is under anesthesia.

Appointments are limited and are done on a first come, first served basis. Please call us at 239-466-5555 for more information or to schedule dental work or a free dental screening.

We would also like to let you know we feel we have the best groomer in the world!!!  Her name is Cody Melfi and she is available Tuesday through Friday by appointment.  Please stop in or call.  We think you and your pet will be delighted when you meet her and allow her the opportunity to groom your pet.

Sincerely,
Dr. Davis and staff
