griselda-469857June is “Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat” Month, Fort Myers

All cats are $50 off the regular adoption fee.  That means adult cats are free and kittens are only $25!

  • For information about this week’s pets, call 533-7387 (LEE-PETS) or log on to Animal Services’ website at www.LeeLostPets.com.  When calling, please refer to the animal’s ID number.  The website updates every hour so you will be able to see if these or any other pets are still available.

  • The shelter is open for adoptions from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Saturday.  The Shelter is located at 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, next to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, off Six Mile Cypress Pkwy.

  • All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, rabies vaccination & county license if 3 months or older, flea treatment, worming, heartworm test for dogs 6 months & over, feline aids & leukemia test for cats, training DVD, 10 day health guarantee, and a bag of Science Diet pet food.

  • The adoption package is valued at $500.

Breed:  Chesapeake Bay Retriever

Sex:  Spayed Female

Comments: My owner has health problems and is not able to care for me any longer.  However, I still have a lot of living to do and lots of love to give.  I melted the hearts of everyone at Animal Services in just a few minutes and I’m sure you will be able to see how gentle and sweet I am too if you pay me a visit.

Adoption Fee:  $25 (all pets 6 years or older are only $25)

Breed: Domestic Shorthair

Sex:   Spayed

Age:  Two years old
Color:  Gray & white

Comments: I’ve been at the shelter since April but no luck at finding a home yet.  I’m hoping that since it’s Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat-Month more people will take notice of the great cats here at the shelter and take advantage of the great deal.  What could be better than a free cat with all veterinary services included?  I’m not a kitten but I’m still a young cat so you can get a loving companion that has already been through that adolescent phase!
Adoption Fee:  Free (During “Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat” Month at LCDAS).
