The Mangrove Duck?
Mangrove seeds are housed in long, skinny pods that fall from the tree and pierce the sand and begin another tree, each pod produces 2 “starter leaves”. I found this Mangrove pod on the beach near Middle Gulf Drive, I guess it began it’s growth with a vine wrapped around it, it’s very twisted. Anyhow, I stuck it in dirt and moss, hoping it would root. Because the top twisted sideways, the results are ………………………….TA DA…………………….The Mangrove Duck!
