3-day Event with +20 Bands to Raise Money for Blessings in a Backpack
FORT MYERS- A weekend filled with music and fun is coming to Fort Myers to benefit the local non-profit, Blessings in a Backpack.
The money raised will help this unique program feed children grades K-5 in Title 1 public schools that qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Meal Program and may not have any or enough food on the weekends.
Better test scores, improved reading skills, positive behavior, improved health and increased attendance have all been attributed to the success of this program. More information can be found at

Friday July. 24th Kick-off Party
- 4:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. hosted by The Edison (No Cover)
- 4 local artists: Ocean Roads, Eric Malibu, Cadence Wednesday & Acoustic Addiction
- Hourly raffle drawings to benefit the Blessings in a Backpack as well as have giveaways for tickets and other great prizes!
Saturday July 25th Silent Auction
- 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. hosted by the Reserve
- Tickets $ 25 each, only 300 available; contact Fritz Caraher at (239) 728-1677
- Special Rock n Roll, sports, and art memorabilia up for bid
- Featuring food from Sweet Melissa’s Café and more!
Sunday July 26th Surf and Song Charity Event
- All day outdoor/indoor event with 4 stages and 15 bands featuring the most popular local musicians such as:
o Geek Skwad
o Drunk Monkeys
o Deb and the Dynamics
o Modulation,
o The New Vinyls
o Smack Daddy
o DVS
- Headliner: Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers
- Gates open @ 11 am and the show is from 12pm-2am.
- Tickets on sale for $10 in advance at The Reserve, Harley Davidson of Ft. Myers, Westcoast Watersports and the Edison. They are $15 at the door.
